Dear SGSC Families, What a week we had during Homecoming Week! It was certainly a busy one, but it was wonderful to see our achievers, staff, and families come together to show their school spirit and enjoy the many activities throughout the week, as well as the parade. Thank you to everyone - especially Mrs. Ashley Perryman - who helped make Homecoming such a special time for our school family!

Can you believe we are already heading into Week 7 of the 2026–2027 school year? The weeks are flying by, and I want to thank you for continuing to partner with us as we work together to make this a successful school year for every one of our Achievers.
Dear SGSC Families,
As we begin Week 6 of the 2026–2027 school year, I want to take a moment to talk about something that makes a tremendous difference in our Achievers' success: ATTENDANCE. Currently, our schoolwide daily attendance rate is 95.14%, and while we are proud of that number, we know we can do even better. This week, we will be meeting with families and the Department of Juvenile Justice regarding several of our Achievers whose attendance has become a concern. These conversations remind us just how important it is that our students are in school each day. Whether an absence is excused or unexcused, an absence still means a student is missing valuable instruction, classroom discussions, hands-on learning, and opportunities to stay connected with their teachers and classmates. When students miss too much school, they can quickly begin to fall behind academically.
Dear SGSC Families, As we enter Week 5 of the 2026–2027 school year, I want to thank you for your continued support of Southwest Georgia STEM Charter School. We are off to a great start, and I truly believe that when our school, families, and community work together, our Achievers can accomplish amazing things.
